Weddings at Old Queen Street Café

A Georgian Townhouse Wedding Reception in the heart of Westminster

Moments from Westminster Abbey and St James’s Park, Old Queen Street Café offers candlelit rooms, seasonal British cooking and the feeling of celebrating in a private London home. For couples marrying nearby, the house is made for receptions that put good food, good drinks and the people around the table at the heart of the day.

Old Queen Street is at its best when the house is full. Champagne in the Club Bar. Everyone around one long table in the Library. Speeches, dinner and conversation carrying on around you.

It has all the character of a Westminster townhouse without the formality of a traditional wedding venue, giving you the freedom to make the day feel like yours.

THE HOUSE

Old Queen Street Café occupies a Georgian townhouse just moments from Westminster Abbey and St James’s Park.

Original Old War Office floorboards underfoot. Georgian proportions. Photographs by Martin Parr lining the walls.

The rooms unfold across the upper floors, each with its own character, allowing your reception to move naturally through the house, perhaps drinks in the Club Bar before long tables, speeches and dinner in the Library.

HOW THE DAY UNFOLDS

Marry nearby, then come back to Old Queen Street for champagne.

Start with drinks in the Club Bar. Gather everyone around the table for lunch or dinner. Make time for speeches, cake and another bottle.

Food is a big part of a wedding at Old Queen Street.

Executive Chef Elliot Spurdle, formerly of The Wolseley and The Delaunay, leads a kitchen shaped by the British seasons. Wedding menus are designed for the way you want to celebrate, whether that’s a long seated lunch or dinner, drinks and canapés, or food shared around the table.

Wine, champagne and drinks can be planned alongside the menu, with our events team helping you put together something that works for your guests and the pace of the day.

COME AND SEE THE HOUSE

There’s no better way to decide if a wedding venue feels right than to see it for yourself.

Come and have a look around the rooms, talk through the kind of day you have in mind and see how Old Queen Street could work for you.

Viewings are available: Friday between 2pm to 7pm. Saturday & Sunday from 9am to 10am or 2pm to 5pm.
